Matt has always been a dreamer and the big picture guy. After working his way up from a small two man distillery in Suburban Detroit he found himself running a massive industrial operation on the West Coast. Seeing that the whole industry needed a wake up call, he returned home to the original heart of American Manufacturing, Michigan, to build the machine the craft spirits world needed. Matt’s meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality can be seen in everything from his classic car builds to the beautiful welds on every machine that bears the Detroit Stillworks name. DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Alex Keeps the boys honest and serves as the company’s “reality check”. She runs the business development arm and ensures that the team stays on track, from project quoting until fulfillment. After telling upteenth clients that the most critical piece of a distillery is someone with a sound mind for business, Matt and Augie decided to heed their own advice and bring her onboard. When she’s not balancing the books or reading up on tax law changes (seriously.), you can find her making some intricate and advanced crafting project look way too easy. She’s also the creative force behind the Muskrat Distilling tasting room - Detroit Stillworks’ very own tasting room in Boyne City, MI.
